The farm is a little like my second world. Here, I don’t need to look for adventure thousands of kilometres away. Sometimes, all it takes is waking up early, checking on the chickens, collecting a few eggs, watering the trees, or watching the sun disappear behind the olive trees.
These are simple moments. So simple that we could easily overlook them. Yet, somehow, they are often the ones that stay with us the longest.
I like moving between two completely different worlds. One day, I can be on my motorcycle, somewhere in the desert, following a track that disappears into the unknown. A few days later, I can find myself back on the farm, with my hands in the soil, taking care of the trees and cooking something with whatever is growing around me.
Here, time is not measured in kilometres. It is measured in seasons, harvests, sunsets and the little things accomplished during the day.
The farm reminds me of something important: you don’t always have to travel far to feel free.
Sometimes, you just need to slow down… and look around.
